I’m an electronics developer and re/habilitation technology innovator with a background spanning systems engineering, programming, embedded electronics, sensor technology and technical development.
As a former Systems Specialist at MIT, my career has included application and database development, multi-platform systems integration, technical consultancy and early virtual reality technology. My work has ranged from financial analysis to clinical patient-tracking systems, alongside technical writing and editorial work for organisations, including IBM.
For almost two decades, I’ve applied that technical experience to biomechanics, human movement and re/habilitation, designing and building custom sensor systems, biofeedback technologies and physical prototypes for our son Julian. My biomechanical development work incorporates IMUs, pressure sensors, EMG, embedded microcontrollers, real-time data processing, C++, C#, Python and Unity.
Today, that combination of electronics, software, biomechanics, VR, fabrication and systems engineering, as well as my passion, forms the foundation of the work at Borelli Play — transforming years of my practical experimentation and problem-solving into technologies designed to improve people’s lives.
